About Celia Pearce
Celia Pearce is an award-winning game designer, artist, curator, author, teacher, and serial instigator. She is an Associate Professor at Northeastern University, and is co-founder of IndieCade. Her games have been shown at Come Out & Play, Different Games, Incubate, Smithsonian Indie Arcade, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and BostonFIG, where her game eBee (with Gillian Smith) received the award for most Innovative Tabletop Game. Her publications include Communities of Play (MIT) and Meet Me at the Fair: A World’s Fair Reader (ETC/CMU Press) and her upcoming book on the history of IndieCade. Her current research/practice focuses on enhancing audience agency in participatory theatre.
