About I Ching Fortunetelling
Inspirations I Ching Fortunetelling is a device art game consisting of a score and an artifact. The game use the China's civil widely circulated children origami ""North South East West"" model, at the same time creatively combine the ancient Chinese philosophy, the concept of the I Ching, then designed a game with Chinese symbols of art. Theme The concept of tai chi, two forms, four inages, and the concept of Bagua are applied to the whole game. Reference prototype game ""North South East West"" has been replaced by four inages in four symbols from the I ching, that is ""Shaoyang, Taiyang, Shaoyin, Taiyin"" , which represent the four seasons in the book of changes. The four inages derived the Bagua (Ken, Kun, Xun, Zhen, Kan, Li, Gen, Dui), and the Eight Trigrams combined with each other, produced 64 hexagrams. Main Mechanism A. The player writes his or her own date of birth, and choose another personal’s date of birth to play the game. Such as Jimmy’s birth date is 1991.8.18, and his girlfriend Lucy’s is 1988.1.22. B. Substitute Lucy's birthday value in the diagrams, get the information as follow: from the vertical to the beginning of the artifact, choose the ""Shaoyin"" symbol as the initial hexagrams, and perform 18 times opening and closing actions, then get the upper trigrams ""Li"". C. Substituting the birthday value of Jimmy in the diagrams,get the information as follow: from the horizontal integration of this artifact, choosing the symbol of ""Shaoyang"" as the initial hexagrams, and making 22 opening and closing, get the ""kan"" of the lower hexagrams. D. To find the sequence number of the final hexagrams, which correspond to the upper hexagrams and the lower hexagrams, in the numerical reference table of the trigrams. E. Find the note marked with the serial number of the hexagrams.
